Pythagoras On The Dance Floor, Under The Mirror Spheres

Speculations aside, the figure of Pythagoras is of vital importance when referring to science as a branch of human knowledge capable of transmitting not only knowledge, but also vibrations. But when he came out to dance to that Bee Gees song, the one called Stayin' Alive, what Manero did was dance to the rhythm of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). According to a study published a few years ago — in late 2008 — by the American Heart Association, the aforementioned Bee Gees song is close to the beat the heart needs to get going. To carry out this study, a team of researchers led by Dr. David Matlock (University of Illinois) applied the chest compression technique to mannequins following the rhythm of Stayin' Alive.
