"Batman: The Brave And The Bold: Season One , Part One": He’S Not My Batman

When I first heard about Batman: The Brave and the Bold for the first time, I was excited. I've heard good things about it though, and given that my favorite C-list DC comics characters are in it, when the opportunity arose for me to rewatch Batman: The Brave and the Bold: Season One , Part One, I decided to give it a chance. Meaning: you remember they were good, but they don't hold up when you actually look at them. But Batman: The Brave and the Bold holds up, now and today, and it's like remembering the action cartoons of the 80s. dry sense of humor, much as modern fans remember him. Aquaman is played for laughs here, as it always should be, and it also introduces tons of awesome C-list characters like Blue Beetle, Deadman, Red Tornado, Wildcat, and more to an audience that doesn't care. probably never heard of. In fact, if you're a fan of DC comics, one of the best parts of this show will be the insane number of obscure characters from the comics that appear, which is sure to make any geek happy. Examples include the episode "Invasion of the Secret Santas!", which shows the deaths of Thomas and Martha Wayne, and my favorite episode from the collection, "Fall of the Blue Beetle!", where it is shown that all the heroes don't always do it, and sometimes you have to die. I don't know if Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths came out before this episode or not, but thankfully, even though both use the same villain and involve multiple Earths, both feel like separate stories. Owlman's plot in Batman: The Brave and the Bold eerily resembles the plan of the Justice Lords in the Justice League episode "A Better World". He really could have used a comment or two, or maybe a featurette about the wide range of heroes who starred in the episode included here. Batman: The Brave and the Bold isn't my Batman, but that doesn't mean I can't watch it and enjoy it for what it is. It's my dad's Batman, and even though I don't consider it my own, that doesn't mean I don't watch it and thoroughly enjoy it. It might not be your Batman, but it will be someone's.
